Day 1: On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by your driver once you have cleared Customs & Immigration and exit the main terminal building. You will be transferred by road to Katambuga House. The drive will take up to 2 hours, depending on traffic.
At Katambuga House, enjoy a relaxing afternoon by the pool, soaking in the tranquil atmosphere and beautiful gardens.
In the evening, you’ll enjoy dinner at Katambuga House and prepare for your departure the following day.
Day 2: After breakfast at Katambuga, travel to Olkeri Camp and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, take a walking safari in Randilen Wildlife Management Area, exploring the bush and learning about wildlife. End the day at a remote fly camp with a fireside dinner and starry night under a comfortable tent.
Day 3: Experience Maasai culture, followed by an extended game drive in Tarangire National Park, where you can spot elephants, giraffes, and big cats. End the day relaxing at camp, enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
Day 4: Spend the morning exploring the Randilen, then relax after lunch before your afternoon game drive that ends with sundowners and a night game drive back to camp in time for dinner.
Day 5: Travel through the Great African Rift Valley to Lake Eyasi, arriving at Kisima Ngeda Camp for lunch and a swim. In the afternoon, head to Ombako Fly Camp, where the Hadzabe tribe will introduce you to their hunter-gatherer traditions. Explore the wilderness, discover ancient rock art, and watch the sunset from a scenic vantage point before enjoying dinner by the campfire under the stars.
Day 6: After an early breakfast, enjoy coffee brewed over the fire before heading out with your Hadzabe guides into the hills. The morning unfolds with a unique experience of hunting, gathering, and exploring the rugged terrain. The day’s activities vary, depending on the season and what’s available in nature. You might join the women foraging for roots, tubers, and wild berries or setting rodent traps. Alternatively, you could accompany the men, tracking wildlife and hunting with poison-tipped arrows and handmade axes. If successful, you’ll have the chance to taste the fruits of their labor, such as wild honey, fresh berries, or even small antelope or francolin, providing a taste of the Hadza’s traditional diet.
Bid farewell to your Hadza hosts and travel back to Kisima Ngeda Camp. On the way, you can stop to visit the Datoga, a skilled group of blacksmiths known for their metalwork and craftsmanship. Once back at camp, enjoy a leisurely lunch and rest for the afternoon or take a walk through the lush surroundings to further explore the area.
Day 7: After an early breakfast, drive to Manyara Airstrip for a scenic flight to Seronera Airstrip in the Serengeti. On arrival, your safari guide will meet you for a game drive transfer to Olmara Camp, located in the heart of the Eastern Serengeti.
Arriving at Olmara Camp, take time to settle in before heading out for an afternoon game drive in this prime wildlife area. Arrive at the Olmara Fly Camp, a remote and exclusive setup that offers a night under the stars in the heart of the wilderness. Enjoy a simple yet intimate bush dinner by the campfire, listening to the distant calls of wildlife before drifting off to sleep in your tent, surrounded by the sounds of the Serengeti.
Day 8: Start your day with a sunrise bush breakfast, then return to Olmara Camp for a refreshing shower. Head out on an extended game drive through the Eastern Serengeti, where you may spot lions, leopards, elephants, and, depending on the season, the Great Migration. Visit the Gol Kopjes, famous for cheetah sightings. End the day with a sundowner and dinner.
Day 9: Guided by an expert, walk through the Serengeti, an unforgettable safari. Track wildlife, observe the ecosystem’s finer details, and connect with nature. After a day of exploration, return to camp for a sundowner and a celebratory bush dinner, marking the end of your adventure.
Day 10: After a final morning game drive, bid farewell to the Serengeti as you transfer by road to Seronera Airstrip for your flight to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Katambuga House, where you can relax by the pool, enjoy a delicious lunch, and freshen up before your international flight.
Later, you will be driven to Kilimanjaro International Airport in time for your departure, marking the end of an unforgettable Tanzanian safari.
