At Kisima Ngeda Camp, guests are given the opportunity to experience a respectful, guided interaction with Hadza guides at a lakeside camp with fly tents that offer a 360° view of the African night sky. Climbing the ridges is a favourite pastime, as is exploring the rock art sites. The camp, Lake Eyasi, and the surrounding woodlands offer excellent year-round birding. The Palearctic migration, between October and April, brings thousands of birds to the region. Explorers also have the chance to meet the fierce Datoga herders, who share this remote landscape with the Hadza. The Datoga wear traditional clothing and colourful beadwork, and the women traditionally scar and tattoo their faces.
