ENTARA SAFARI SCHOOL

In 2026, Entara is offering a unique opportunity to enjoy a deep and meaningful safari experience for the curious. Based on the knowledge we
have accumulated through years of guide training, we are offering a chance to reconnect with the magic of the Serengeti and deepen your understanding of the region, as well as an opportunity to hone the skills that bring its stories to life.

In 2026, we will be opening the doors to the public, inviting you to participate in the Entara Safari School.

Entara’s directors, Ethan and Hagai, will lead this immersive experience alongside our senior guides. Armed with binoculars, cameras, notebooks, and an insatiable curiosity, by car and on foot we’ll venture into the plains, woodlands, and kopjes of the southern and Eastern Serengeti. This is no textbook lesson—we’ll let nature take the lead, uncovering its secrets as they unfold before us.

With decades of guide training expertise, the program delves into a variety of “ologies”—geology, ecology, ethology, ornithology, entomology, palaeontology, and more. But our focus is on the stories that intrigue us, the connections that inspire awe, and the deeper understanding of what makes the Serengeti the greatest show on Earth.

Join us in 2026 for an unforgettable adventure, where you’ll see the Serengeti National Park through the eyes of those who guide it every day.

The safari school will take place in March, a special time on the Serengeti plains. Abundant rains transform the volcanic grasslands into a lush paradise, attracting over two million migratory herbivores. Yet beyond the drama of the herds and the iconic sight of lions atop rocky kopjes lies a world of silent processes and hidden ecological heroes waiting to be uncovered.

We will split our time between the Esirai mobile camp, located in the southern plains, and the Olmara Camp in the eastern plains and at least one day on foot in the Nyabogati wilderness area.

Our days will start early, and we will spend the mornings on game drives across the plains, ranging far and wide to cover all the major ecosystems of the Serengeti. We will leave our cars and explore on foot often to gain a closer appreciation of the various players in the Serengeti ecosystem, and enjoy some deeper lectures while on game drives.

We will also cover some topics in frontal lectures by our trainers and by guest lecturers to provide a background for the unfolding story of the Serengeti.
