Entara is privileged to have hosted celebrated Israeli wildlife photographer Dori Caspi at Esirai’s Camp green season location, from where he captured the season’s abundance in the Southern Serengeti.
Dori, who has been travelling to Tanzania for the past 15 years to paint with light and capture the essence of the wilderness, is at his happiest away from modern civilization and as close to nature as possible. In Africa, with traditional people and wild landscapes that have changed little over thousands of years, he finds peace of mind and his most significant source of inspiration.
It is fitting that he returned for this exquisite season – a time of vibrant colour and new life when the landscape comes alive in infinite shades of green and meadows bloom; and when around 200 migrant bird species birds arrive, along with millions of migrating animals.
Aside from the calving of wildlife and the abundance of life, the season’s spectacularly dramatic skies of towering cloud castles and a highly charged light is a dream for photographers – as one can see here from Dori’s evocative perspective.
Dori is planning his next photo exhibition that will sum up his love story with the wildlife of Africa and you can read more about his work on his website: https://www.doricaspi.com/. Until then, marvel at the images from his most recent trip.
